On the occasion of World Tourism Day, a special event was organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, as part of the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, at the Ashok Hotel for promoting ‘Tourism for Inclusive Growth’. The chief guest for the event was Shri Om Birla, Hon’ble Speaker, Lok Sabha . The event was graced by Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Tourism, Culture & DoNER ; Shri Ajay Bhatt, Hon’ble Minister of State for Tourism; Shri Arvind Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Tourism Director General Tourism & C&MD ITDC; Shri.G. Kamala Vardhana Rao and senior officials from Ministry of Tourism. The event witnessed signing of MoU between the Ministry of Tourism, United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and Responsible Tourism Society of India to further encourage sustainable tourism in the country.
